Week 1

God has given His promise that those who follow Him shall not want. While we may go through times of horrific privation, remember that we will go through them; not stay in them. Throughout all scripture it can be proven that the sequenced ordered outcome of righteous living always produced an abundance of provision.

God doesn’t want the 10% or 50% or 100%, as He has no need but to have love returned to Him. He would like to be honoured for what He has done. Giving to the things of God is rooted in just that, understanding that all things come from Him, and that He is the Giver of every good gift. We’re commanded to “honour the Lord,” and that principle bridges completely both the old and the new covenants.

Prayer:
Father You have promised that You would withhold no good thing from those who walk uprightly before You. Your Son came that we might have life to the ful, till it overflows. I know that lack is not Your will for my life. Where I have not honoured You, forgive me. Where I have not put You first place in my life, forgive me. I know that You are not a hard taskmaster. You’ve promised that if I would sow, I would reap. I know that You will not be mocked in that truth. Therefore I choose to sow, and sow again and again, knowing that You abide faithful. You are my provider, my El Shaddai, and I know that You are leading me into pleasant places that I might be a blessing to many. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.

Week 2

No one likes to talk much about money. In fact it is downright offensive to some. Yet while faith is the currency of heaven, money is the currency on earth with which we live and eat. Why do we have such a problem believing that our Heavenly Father, in all His wisdom and understanding, wouldn’t want to provide for us materially as much as has spiritually? We’ve got to get that part correct.

God is the Father from whom all fatherhood takes its name, we’re told in Ephesians 3:15. We need to keep things very simple, and consider how much we long to provide for our own children. We have great dreams of being able to see that they’re educated well, cared for, protected, and wonderfully nourished with good food. It breaks our heart if we’re unable to do so for them, if we’re honest. Understand it deeply; God is not bankrupt in any area. He will not see we’re blessed in one area, without making a way for us to be cared for in the other areas. We must learn His wisdom in the area of finances, as money doesn’t fall on us like ripe cherries off a tree, but it’s there to be found. It has to be, because my God is a good Father.

Prayer:
Father help me start off by seeing you correctly. You’re the Giver of every good gift. You withhold no good thing from those who walk uprightly before You. You delight in giving good gifts toYour children. You’ve said so in Your word. Therefore I refuse to bow down to the beggarly elements of the world. I choose to believe that you want me just as healed in my finances, as you do in my physical body. Thank You for imparting to me wisdom today in the area of finances. I lift my voice for understanding in this area, and in Jesus’ Name, I believe I receive the mind of Christ today in this arena. I confess today, that You HAVE blessed me, so that I might BE a blessing, in Jesus’ Name, Amen.
